[2023 Inter-religious International Exchange Lecture] Inter-religious dialogue under Islam’s “fraternity, forgiveness, and freedom”
The Institute of Religion and Humanities held three inter-religious international exchange lectures on “Islamic Fraternity, Forgiveness, and Interreligious Dialogue under Freedom” on May 1 (Monday) at the 2E211 seminar room of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences of Tzu Chi University. The first session invited Dr. Mohamad Habash, Chairman of the Human Fraternity Research Center of the United Arab Emirates, to speak about “Islam’s Principle of Fraternity—One Goal, Multiple Approaches, Islamic Faith and Far Eastern Religions”; the second session invited the United Kingdom Imam Moheddin Aljabi, Imam of the Medina Mosque in Manchester, talked about “Forgiveness in Islam”; the third session invited Omer Ayash, founding chairman of the Taiwan Islamic Association and adjunct lecturer at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. About “Freedom in Islam”. The three lectures had fascinating topics, attracting interested faculty, students, and Western church personnel to participate both physically and online.
